Today, I stopped my run short because of a blister.
I like to run around Virginia Lake, which is a beautiful man-made lake about a quarter of a mile away. My typical run is to the lake and around it 5 times.
However, when I didn’t schedule enough time, I cut back the number of laps … 5-to-4.
On lap 2, I started getting a blister on my right foot … because of my new running shoes. I should have prepared better, too, because my dad – the 1st American over 80 to break 4 hours in a marathon – told me that he uses Vaseline to stop blisters. I forgot.
So, I reduced my laps from 4-to-3. I plan to make up for these tomorrow and use the time today to write this post!
Happy blister-free running to all!
